Humans are always making cutesy little items involving cats and posting them on the Internet. It's rather endearing, actually, the way Humans are constantly currying for our favors with these little offerings. Found this jokey bit on "The Laws of Cat Physics" while surfing the Web in the wee hours while the Primary Human was asleep. In general, felines scoff at the notions of "laws": the world should adjust itself according to our whims and needs. Period. And some of the entries are just silly. But I liked these:
Law of Rug Configuration
No rug may remain in its naturally flat state for very long.
Law of Bag/Box Occupancy
All bags and boxes in a given room must contain a cat within the earliest possible nanosecond.
[Only if the bags/boxes are empty. I personally favor shoe boxes.]
Law of Obedience Resistance
A cat's resistance varies in proportion to a human's desire for her to do something.
Law of Cat Disinterest
A cat's interest level will vary in inverse proportion to the amount of effort a human expends in trying to interest her.
[Translation: Ignore us, and we will come. Maybe.]
First Law of Energy Conservation
Cats know that energy can neither be created nor destroyed and will therefore use as little energy as possible.

"Genius is the capacity of avoiding hard work."
They never remember Lao-Tze, "Than self-restraint there is nothing better."
